Unless the blurring of her face in that photo is hiding some horrible disfigurement, from what i can tell i wouldn't have minded that 'punishment' one bit! :)
 
Funny.. neither of those last names appears at all Russian.
Don't see anything in the Russian press either.
Looks like a wind-up to me!
