Any Robert Smith fans here?

I can't believe what a genius this man is! Just bought their Trilogy dvd and it's the most gripping concert ever. 8O

Love the Cure, but despite having a couple of goth friends never got into the fashion so I've no embarrassing photos of me with black eyeliner to share.

Their pre-90s albums are really good IMO. I think the comparatively poppy 'Head on the Door' is my fave.

:o:o

I love Robert Smith, he is my hero and I want to marry him :D

The forest is great, I like too Pictures of you (classic), the caterpillar and In Between Days :D

I like Fascination Street 8), Never Enough, Close to me, The Hanging Garden, Oooh the forest - oh sod it, I like them all. 8O

Friday I'm in love
Killing and Arab
close to me
Lullaby
jumping someone else's

Robder and Robbie, Nouvelle Vague has a really good bossanova version of "the forest" ;)

my fave band of all time

able to go from dark dark music to light pop

my fave albums are
Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers

fave song is A Forest

i got the Festival 05 DVD for Xmas but not watched it all yet

Lullaby in its Extended remix form was a staple of Ibiza in 1989 - Oakenfold put it on a Ibizan Classics disc for Pete Tongs Essential Selection CDs

also.....they are headlining the Ultra Festival in Miami for the WMC this year (friday i think)

Have you got the trilogy one yet? It's supposed to be better - I think it's amazing!!!

Have heard mixed things about the festival one but I'll probably get it anyway - what do you reckon to it?

the Trilogy one is more polished and is amazing basically down to the fact that the 3 albums played are amazing (though special note for the 2 encore tracks - fantastic)

only skimmed through the odd track on the Festival one - its more rough and ready, a mix of fans, crew and official camera work. its a better representation of The Cure now - with the guitar heavy/no keyboards set up - good plus point is the excellent guitar work of Porl Thompson

i wish that they'd release the Staring at the Sea / Play Out / Picture Show DVDs cos they had good unseen footage on them

Oh I know! 8O I nearly died when I saw that - it's the most amazing finale to an epic 3.5 hour musical feast eh? 8O

Gave me the shivers and everything...Christ almighty! 8O :o

Love the fact that it was filmed in Berlin too. 8) Perfect. 8)

HUGE fan of the Cure :D
Robert Smith = genius :!:

Favorite albums? Probably Faith, Disintegration, Pornography.

Interesting how people named Bloodflowers among their favorites. Despite it being the supposed 3rd part of the trilogy, I never could really get into it... The later album The Cure was so much better.

Favorite song? Can't narrow that one down.
Just Like Heaven
Faith
Charlotte Sometimes
A Forest
The Hanging Garden
Close to Me (original and Mixed Up version)

Hell, as Robder says, love them all!

Seen the boys in concert 3 times... would love to see them again.

seen them 3 times on the Wish tour - Barrowlands, Glasgow & 2 x Edinburgh Playhouse
but the Edinburgh ones were without Simon Gallup so it wasn't quite as good

also went to the Great Xpectations festival in London - cracking set that day, full of surprise tracks played
