The best of Playa D'en Bossa

We'll be staying in Playa D'en Bossa for the first time at the end of August, and I was wondering where are:
shops i need to know about (eg san an has wips, eroski etc)
nice places to eat
good places to drink

pretty much just an essentials guide of playa den bossa. we've stayed in san an every year since 2008, and it's going to be a bit of a shock staying in den bossa, but looking forward to it!

I have always found the food in Bossa a lil disappointing. Not bad, just pretty standard.

Head to Old Town for a great choice of restaurants. Only a short & cheap cab journey, or a pleasant walk.

Delano beach club, Plastik and Sankeys are good for a night out. Bora Bora beach is of course a hotspot and you have Ushuaia Beach hotel and Space on your doorstep so even if the food and shops on offer are a bit limited you'll still be having lots of fun! x

get you, but you'd be surprised how much PdB has been changing over the last few years. and this season again. PdB, especially from Bora Bora downwards south, features now a host of cool places (not only to eat)
Delano - good parties sometimes and chill beds on the sand
mumak - great sunday lunches and full moon events
picaro - thursday night hotspot and great & healthy food
tantra - completely refurbished bar - now actually a decent place!!
ibiza rocks bar - best of the world of burgers
crystal - nice beach lounge
plastik beach - the outside bit of this is really beautiful
and then you've got the even nicer places on the southernmost stretch of pdb such as
sands
la plage (main restaurant now up on the 1st floor with great seaview)
la sal rossa
nassau
coco beach

also, you'd be surprised how good food is at sissi's asador. the place looks weird from outside, but once you're inside, you wouldn't believe it!

i couldnt imagine anything worse than a sunday roast
which are the best supermarkets to use then? for both variety and price. plus, any 24 hour supermarkets like wips???

for good and good value pizza's Pizzeria Disco Point next to the Garbi is good if you want something cheap and no fuss

Must confess I have not sampled the food at the beach bars yet. Will check out La Plage and/or Sands on my next visit later this summer.

And, assuming they'll be serving the same menu as Ibiza Rocks Bar in San An, then the food is great! Very much a Brit/American spin on their menu though. My last generalisation was focused more on the main road in Pd'B and the lack of what I would describe as traditional local cruisine.

I had the best tasting steak ive ever had at Sissis in PDB . Stay away from Moorea Grill Restaurant underneath jet apartments. We got told it was horrible but ended up in there by accident one night and steak was tasteless, chips were cold and staff dead rude.
Depending were your staying, we used to use the jet apartment supermarket . Has pretty much everything you need in there

Last time, albeit a couple of years ago the Moorea was really good, whats changed?

the italian restaurants across road from Sissi's is very popular. Not tried it though.not sure if its the guy i know dragging them in or the food but always busy later at night.

now now dirk.meaning you don;t go to pdb at all then.not even for the beach bars and space.there is a resort for everyone in ibiza.young and old.its far better than is was in 83.at last its getting money spent on it.could just do with new pavements now.

same with me when i stayed in the tivoli apartments.6 years it took em to finish that block off.like most it takes them that long.time flys when your havin fun.
