Thought I'd set myself a little 'project' and look into a holiday in Thailand.

2 questions - when is the best time to go and which are good airlines who fly there??

Also anything else I should bear in mind when looking into it??

A lot of my friends have traveled out there and most say the best time to go is spring (esp. March)

(edit: that's if you want it to be good and warm... otherwise, go a bit earlier or in the fall)

u could fly direct or fly via somewhere... like Hong Kong!

;)

My friend travelled out last week as he does every year for 3 months - its his favourite time to go to be honest, he tends to visit India too once he gets out there - so that's the only times I know of.....

Barbie somehow I can only see you in 5* accomm - not bumming it around beach huts doing the travelling thingy.....

I stayed in Thailand for a long time during my travels last year

i flew from hong kong to bangkok but id say just get a direct to bangkok, then get a flight to koh samui/koh phangnan, krabi, phuket etc...

As for times... well i was there between june and august, and it was always hot. However youd get the odd thunderstorm. They reckon its best between december and march but i reckon it's gonna be nice pretty much all the time, you're best off checking websites on thailand for the best season advice

Other things to bear in mind. You live like a king for peanuts.
I stayed in a beach place for 6 quid a night qith sky tv and air con etc.

its a must-do

Thank you, I probably will do that when I start planning properly ;)

I'm most likely going in april which apparently is the hottest month of the year, flying direct to bangkok with thai airways

Feel free to bell me any time for advice - I spent ages in Thailand.

For a short break, I think this would be ideal for you.
It's reeeally secluded - you can only reach it by boat. It's got all sorts of accommodation options and it's got a club attached full of complete f*** heads on mushies.

...oh and it ain't far from the legendary back yard.

I think this place has it all because you're surrounded by jungle and the beaches are amazing.

There are plenty more places to stay but I'm guessing you've not got long...so I reckon this is ideal. (it's where I met weese)
