Taxis to out of the way places

Does anyone know about catching taxis at places like the Blue Marlin and KM5? Is it difficult to get them out there? Sorry if it sounds like a silly question, but I'm debating the merits of hiring a car. Thanks!

Cabs not a problem at either in my experience. In fact, the nice people at KM5 helpfully called me a cab and poured me into it, even when I wasn't actually a customer, after they found me wandering the street in the dark after a game of sharades with some well known DJs:lol:

i'd defo hire a car regardless of the taxi situation.............a car on ibiza offers you a whole extra world for you to explore and without question the most stunning locations/sites are all diificult to reach unless you've got a car.

at these locations its easy enough to call a cab and there will always be the odd few floating about or passing, especially KM5, which is only about 5 minutes by car from ibiza town.

That's good news. I'll probably hire a car to see some of the more remote locations on the island, but I don't want to get behind the wheel after a few drinks if the Guardia are as strict as what I've been told. Thanks for the help!

Was gonna mention that story, but you beat me to it...

This is gonna sound really sad....but I've got the Ibiza taxi number on my phone still from last year 971343764 - comes in very helpful.

They speak good english and they control all the legal taxis on the island.

Except in August when it becomes impossible to get one unless you're fluent (always best in that case to get someone where you are to order it for you)...
