New to this. Going to Sirenis Hotel Coral Playa middle May (just in time for the FA and champs final:lol: ) can you tell me what I should be paying for a taxi for myself, the wife and 2 year old to es Cana. My first time to Ibiza as an independant traveller. Been to Menorca & Majorca last year and found hiring a car cheaper, don't think thats the case this time.
Dont want to get stung at the airport..bad start to any holiday..

Any help greatly appreciated.

hire a car in the long run it will work out cheaper.i mean hire for the time your there.no hassle at airport.pick up keys sign for car,go to muti carpark drive off.1/2 hour say depends what time of day your going.get maps of this site.

Hi

I went to es cana last september and it cost approximately 30 euroseach way. Both journeys took place at around 1am in the morning, soit may be cheaper during the day.

Es cana is an excellent place to stay, especially with children. I took my younger sister and she had a fantastic time there. Heading back this year, but trying San Antonio with my friends instead.

Make sure you go to the hippy market in es cana, but take plenty of water especially for the little one. Its massive and can get very warm as you walk around.

Taxi fares are cheaper during the day except on Sundays and Public Holidays. It's unlikely that you will get ripped off as all the taxis are metered. Just make sure that you get into a proper taxi and not the car of some goon touting for business (I've never seen an illegal cab at the airport they tend to hang around the clubs). The official taxis are easy to identify, they are all clean and white and have taxi lights on their roof .

taxi to es cana

thanks to the few who replied to me asking about taxi's. Yes I will go to the hippy market - that is 1 reason i booked for 8 nights just to go!!

If you are interested in the markets, try and get to Las Dalias in San Carlos - the better one in my view and only five minutes by taxi from Es Cana or you could take the slower road train from Es Cana harbour.
