Taxi strike on New Years Eve?

there was also a strike on christmas eve. as mackie says there is a bus service - in fact better than the normal one. we're off to san an for a meal, a bop in the tent and then back home on one of the all night buses (colect our car the next day) the police/guardia have announced that there'll be more of them on the road than motorists.

the taxis are striking because the council want to inroduce about 150 more temporary taxis in summer. obviously the existing taxi drivers want all the summer takings for themselves while we stand around in queues for hours waiting for one. obviously striking now is really whipping up public support for this much loved ibiza institution.......
 
Yes, waiting for a cab is my favourite thing. It's why I just drive to everywhere but the clubs these days.
