Talking about a long journey...

I don' t know where you all come from, but from Croatia the journey to Ibiza lasted for 15 hours. No direct flights. Flight to Frankfurt, then a pause of 9 hours, boarding again, bus drive to hotel. Man, was that exhausting. It's like I'm living at the end of the world.
What I won't do to come to the dreamland.

that sucks! you think there would have been more direct /less waiting time flights!

I have a pretty long journey too, about 8.5 hours from Edmonton to London( but i will be stopping for a couple of days to and chill with family ) then the short flight from london to ibiza :)

whereabouts from croatia are you? depending on where you're from, it might have been easier if you would have taken the train to venezia/padova/verona/udine/trieste and then taking a charter flight to ibiza...?

well but anyway, i see - it's still a long journey!

I'm from Zagreb, capital of Croatia. I know it sounds strange but we only have direct flights to capitals of Europe, if that. It's probably because there's no demand for such destinations as Ibiza, Cyprus...
The nearset place I have direct flight is Graz in Austria, but there's a problem of getting there as there isn't a bus which drives directly to the airport. I could go with car but then I should leave it there for a week and I've heard it's not such a great idea.

Belive me, I've been through all the options and there just aren't too many of them. No pain, no gain. He he.

If there's flights to capitals of Europe you could fly to Madrid 8O

There are flights to capitals of Europe but not in the middle of the night. We came to the tourist agency a month and a half before the trip and there were just two free places on airoplanes to Ibiza from Vienna and Frankfurt and they were both around 5am. Flight from Zagreb to Frankfurt was at 6pm and the other one was around 8am. So, there was no other way.

I think we'll have to book earlier next time so there will probably be some better solution.

What tourist agency in Madrid should i contact for ibiza? Is there any suggestions? I plan to go to Madrid for a couple of days then to fly to Ibiza. That way the trip shouldn't be such a tourment.
