Taking the Parents to Ibiza

Hey everyone,

Looking for some expert advice. My brother, sister, wife and I will all be making our annual trip to Ibiza this summer, but this year the parents are coming to see what all the fuss is about!

Obviously Ibiza is a beautiful place with lots to see and do that isn't clubbing related, but my mum in particular wants to sample the night life.

Where could I take them? They like dancing and drinking, but are a bit too old to be caught up in a scrum. If anyone knows of anywhere suitable, I'd be really grateful for your input.

Thanks in advance, everyone have a great summer

Ben

 @ housewilly

A smaller club like Aura would be good.

Or Pacha on one of their less crowded nights (you could even take them to Pacha restaurant for dinner beforehand... free club entrance)

Flower Power perfect, get a VIP table they will LOVE it

I went last week there were plenty of olds there, and some families - daughters and sons with their parents.

Lots of them had dressed up for the night in 60's gear too :)

VIP table needed as it gets V busy but worked out cheapish. If there were 3 or 4 of you its a great deal - cheapest bottle is 300 euro but entrance is around 40 euro normally anyway. You get your own toilets and smoking area/chill out garden too

Oh yes i can just see my parents now spending 300 lids on a cheap bottle.. you really only bring parents on hols for babysitting no matter how cool they think they are cos they have a cafe del mar cd in the car..:)

Wow thanks guys, I'll check out all of those suggestions. Flower Power at Pacha sounds really interesting, and the dining there prior certainly a good idea - I've done that before and it's a great deal.

The old man's pretty flush, so laying down the required notes for a good night isn't a problem. We're all shamelessly looking forward to an all expenses paid trip...at 26 that's pretty sad, but mum and dad can't wait to get all the kids back together for a holiday together...and what better place than Ibiza!

Many thanks to everyone for sharing their expert opinions, really appreciated!

Def agree Flower Power is the best night for olds! Do it they will love it! Dinner and a table......

there are some vids on you tube of it......

why is flower power party so expensive, I can understand the other nights being so expensive, because of the various djs, or is this Pachas standard entry fee

Book a table in the Pacha Restaurant on a saturday night then go and have a little boogie to defected.

Unfortunately we're not gonna be in town for the Flower Power, a real shame but hopefully that'll be of benefit to someone else in a similar situation. It looks amazing! I'll try to sort a dinner booking with a table on another night.

If anyone knows of any other places like Aura then please do let me know, it looks great and we'll defiantly be paying it a visit. Dinner, cocktails, moving seamlessly into dancing...just what we're looking for.

I wonder if its till a 70 euro minimum spend at the restaurant when its 48 euros to get in. it does sound like fun, think we might end up doing that on the 13th September, it looks like its the last one of the season.
what time does it normally start and end, looked on here and cant see times, unless Im looking in wrong place

hi ben,

take them to samba night at cala jondal on saturday or sunday evenings. they do one on saturday in tropicana and another on sunday in la savina restaurant - lots of oldies (40+), live band, great atmosphere, if there's a crowd there, there'll be dancing too.

(warning, this is based on last year's info - but it's been like that for several years, so can't imagine things have changed much :) )

you'll probably be out and about in a car at some point. stop in at those restaurants and check the days/times for yourself. we had a paella last year with my mother in law - table very near to the band; a few havana-colas - superb.

in fact whilst on the subject of live music, guarana in santa eulalia would be perfect. much older crowd, dancing, beautiful location in eulalia marina.
