i just dont understand what they hope to achive by getting rid of McCarthy at this stage of the season. they are beyond help anyway.:?: :?: :?:

So the new manager can come in and use the rest of this (pointless) season to chop, change and sort out the club so they are sorted for the start of next season in the Championship. If they were to let McCarthy stay till the end of the season then sack him...the new man would have less time to install his way of work and implement his ideas!

That theory doesn't really work when you take this into consideration:

"Assistant Academy manager Kevin Ball has been put in charge for the last 10 matches of the season with a permanent appointment to be made in the summer."

I'm with Russ on this one. The timing seems strange.

They made it into the premiership and didn't pull enough investment in to give themselves a sporting chance of staying there.

Horse & stable door springs to mind. I mean McCarthy was good enough to get them up last stime why not again?

Clueless fkr Chairman

IMHO

Dear me, i should really read the article first eh! Awell god knows why he was sacked. He seemed very dejected in his interview after the game so maybe hes ran out ideas? Who knows!
