Takin Camera's into clubs

Hi guys,

Adive on camera's in clubs!

what are club policies on camera's inclubs? DO they take them off you if they find them or will get in OK if I have a camera in my bag?

I want to record my whole ibiza experiance but have heard that some clubs don'y alow them.

Any help or adivce is helpful

This has been covered a few times b4 but essentially it is a no and if they find them they will take them off you and charge you storage.

Many try though and some get them in.

Might try with a throw away then I'm not so bothered if it goes missing.

Anyone who has successfully got a camera in a club, any tips welcome.

Its worth noting that El Divino questioned me last year on my camera, but still let me in with it, but this year didn't even give it a second look and everyone in there seemed to have a camera with them!
 
last thursday in cream there were signs up everywhere saying no cameras/camera phones and saying you may be kicked out for using them but you could clearly see loads of people using them and i only saw one guy get asked to put his in a cloakroom
 
Didn't get searched at Pacha, El Divino, Amnesia nor Eden... not even Es Paradis. As long as you're not having it around your neck, I think you'll be fine.
 
Deja Vu... think we've covered this one a few times. You've gotta do a search ;)

Space is serious about its no-camera policy. The sometimes check pockets/purses. I snuck a camera inside once but got caught using it and was told to stop (normally they make you put it in storage but the guards let me off easy)

I haven't been searched at El Divino, Pacha, or Amnesia so getting one in would be easy... I've taken flash photos at El Divino (and even 3 30-second film clips) without problems, but not with guards around. I've used the old camera phone in Pacha without anyone saying anything.

I think Privelege shakes you down on entry but I didn't make it there this year so I don't know. No comment on Eden and Es Paradis.
 
I think that in Space and Privilege it is impossible!

They ask you for cameras and also look into your bags if you have one with you. I went mostly for all sessions to space and yes everytime i got checked if i had one with me.

in circoloco not, i got not asked and aslo no one checked anything...

I got one into Privilege this year for manumission, hidden behind the area that the door staff shouldn't touch! :lol:
 
Pacha seemed pretty relaxed about it.

Plenty of folk were taking pics of Deep Dish & FatBoySlim the two times I was there.
 
Mty mates brother just got back and he took his camera everywhere he has piccies from cream amesia and everything. im gonna get disposables.
 
This year my "partner in crime" got a regular camera into every club we went to. Never got patted down once. Which was a good thing for other reasons as well. :) He took a lot of pics on the Space terrace, as well as inside (with flash). One bouncer even caught him taking a pic on the terrace, told him not to do it again and let him go. The main thing is: don't try to look like you're hiding something. At the entrance, when faced with a doorman who may want to frisk me, I always assume the position ;) before he can ask me to. They're always surprised and NEVER do it.
 
This year I didn't got patted down once. Actually 10 club nights.. not ONE singel touch from the doorman :? 8) 8O 8O 8O

Amnesia had all the NO CAMERA signs up wen i went, but I wasn't patted down... kinda wish I'd bought a camera then...

Es Paradis patted me down, felt the camera in my pocket for like, ten seconds, then just let me in (maybe the bouncer was on work experience).

Eden let me in without a fuss.

Privilege IS very strict, we all got searched but I watched one bloke just hold the camera in his hand out of sight of the bouncer, then just move it every tym the bouncer moved - it worked :-o
 
The only places I've had problems are Space and Privilege - everywhere else I've got mine in, just stuffed in my bag under other things! ;)
 
All the clubs I went to last week were a joke when it came to patting people down, including Space. I had brought two cameras with me on the trip, one of which was a smaller camera that I thought would be easier to sneak in. It didn't matter. All I did was put either of the cameras in my back pocket behind my wallet and every single bouncer just tapped the area and didn't even question the obvious extra bulk.
