T Bar London

Anyone been? Any good?
I hear they do some decent Sunday morning/afternoon parties for the post-Fabric crowd etc.

I work above it Stu, it's a great bar, really big, lots of room to dance but plenty of seating as well. They have lots of tasty little nights on there, it's the kind of place that you go for a quick one after work and end up still being in there at 3am :?

Damian Lazarus does a free Monday night there on the first Monday of the month.

I heard it was a typically shoreditch bar full of the typical shoreditch crowd, otherwise known as (unts.

I havent't been there though, and I could be wrong. But it's unlikely ;)

Depends if you like "that sort of thing" or not.

No it's actually one of the less 'Shoreditch' type places around here. Attracts a nice mixed crowd and proper goes off.

Agreed...and I don't really see what the problem is with the Shoreditch crowd anyway. :?

Everyone is quick to say they're all (unts but I'd argue that these people have been to Hoxton Sq on a Saturday night a few times and think they've discovered Shoreditch.

Anywhere with a bit of success is going to get a few hangers on that are a bit  but compare this place to any other part of London (ie - Notting Hill  or Brixton etc) and they just don't cut it in comparison.

Shoreditch is all about trashy Sundays in East End dives full of freaks, not 'who's got the trashiest mullet and the best sunnies in Zigfrid this week?'

Oh, and T-bar is great - may I reccomend the bingo session on the third Sunday of the month. ;)

Where do a-listers like yourself hang out then? :? Is it full of easy going guys like yourself?

Well I certainlly don't concentrate on chasing this weeks "scene".

My experience of Shoreditch (and yes, now Hoxton Square is "uncool"), is that it is, and that crowd, almost by definition trying to be different, and then get's to be the aforementioned "look at me, aren't I different/isn't my hair wierder/aren't my trainers rarer/haven't I smiled less than you"

The whole constant crave to be "cool" isn't organic, and I'd never have the energy to keep up.

And I'm bored, frankly, of people like you always "dissing" what they "were all over" 6 months ago (though that I feel we'll have a polar disagreement on - eg NDSM etc) and how you're all patting yourselves on the back "pushing the scene" with your wild parties never seen before in London or whatever you want to convince yourself you're doing.

All this, bearing in mind I was dancing shoulder to shoulder with all the same crowd 5 years ago, listening to, though I'm sure you won't believe me, funky house. Only then there was far less attitude (other than a minor professional criminal one), and I seeme to remember people talked to each other more, and there were less barriers (and frowns)

I don't want to be nasty or nowt, though you've answered your own questions in your previous post. I just don't like it all. Each to their own. I know loads of nice people who love that scene, and that's fair enough.

I think you're maybe kidding yourself if you think there's a massive difference.

Though I could be wrong, it's just IMO.

As official spokesperson for Shoreditch, please accept my sincerest apologies for not pushing the scene in the correct direction. ;)

I'm sure you have many valid points but the big long dribbly posts you make in an effort to pass yourself of as a literary genius are quite hard to read (with all these little bits in brackets) and distract from what you are actually trying to say (which is what again?) Zzzzz.

Dan - I thought you were coming down to Shoreditch on Saturday night?!
:p :p :p

It's a shordeitch venue by geography only. The "east end freaks" wouldn't be seen dead in somewhere like there. It's actually quite a nice bar (the one I saw you in before, right?). I've been there a few times after work with suits on a Friday (in it's previous guise as the Lime bar).

Anyway, I do "end up" in those types of places. I'm not that picky where I go at 8pm on a Sunday or whatever.

(I'm not sure I understand your point tho?)

My point is...lighten the fook up! :D

I think you're the only person in this thread taking Shoreditch so seriously.

...and all this, "I don't want to be nasty but YOU this and YOU that" isn't nice.

I'm not that bloody snobby! I've even got a Hed Kandi cd at home somewhere!

See you at Bob Sinclar but please don't speak to me unless you're wearing nice shoes.

But you are being snobby?!

I'm sure you'll boil this down to a "I can be more laid back tha YOU" exercise. I was just only giving my opinion.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

What were we talking about?! Oh that's right, you're getting personal again.

Last time we were in Shoreditch Jon remarked that he couldnt tell the difference these days between a homeless guy on the street and most Shoreditch-types! Some of them try so damn hard to be cool their clothes actually look like they've been found in a bin!
The only way to tell is the pair of £280 sunglasses resting on their nose ;)

I don't think that is stereotypical of Shoreditch though, you unfortunately get these types in most house clubs... moreso in after hours clubs I should add! (Just my observations ;) )
