we haven't got much snow yet, unfortunately that's true. but after two weeks of pure sunny weather, now we finally get some snow again!

fat phil b: meiringen is cool (even though it's quiet) and i like the skiing area there!

how was the snow at the resorts? I heard there isn't much this year?

We were skiing at Scuol, a five minute bus ride from our base at Sent. There was enough slopes open for the three days we skied and we had lots of stuff arranged to do with Anna's family on the other days. Had I wanted more skiing, I guess I might have been struggling to stay interested with only those same slopes open.

well guess how we (locals) were annoyed over christmas time as there was so little snow? but now, we finally got more snow, during the last 24hrs we got almost 1meter of white powder (not that one, no, the cold one!) in the mountains - looking forward to the weekend!

I'm just back from Baqueira, a ski ressort in the catalan pyrinees which, by tradition, usually has the longest ski season in the country and there was only 20% of the slopes open. On NYE we had lunch al fresco at 20ºC :?

Nostrum: be careful the avalanche barometer is 4 on a scale of 5.
Going up tomorrow to avoid the week end crowd.
