Tanabata at Sushiya Aoyama
Evening of the Seventh

7th-15th July 2017

The Milky Way separates the lovers Orihime and Hikoboshi. They are allowed to meet only once a year - on the seventh day of the seventh month.

In Japan we celebrate this day writing wishes on small pieces of paper and hanging them on bamboo. They are burned after the festival.
From Friday 7th to Saturday 15th July we celebrate Tanabata at Sushiya Aoyama, every night from 8pm and invite you to share your wishes with us.

The bamboo leaves rustle,
shaking away in the eaves.
The stars twinkle
on the gold and silver grains of sand.
The five-colour paper strips
I have already written.
The stars twinkle,
they watch us from heaven

SUSHIYA AOYAMA TO CLOSE PERMANENTLY

Sushiya Aoyama will be closing permanently next Saturday 14th October after five years and six seasons of activity. Till then, we will open Tuesday to Saturday, from 8pm.

The decision is based on professional and personal circumstances and also believing to improve and define the future concept of the sushi restaurant.

Sushiya Aoyama’s owner and chef, Hideki Aoyama, says: “I have been extremely happy these years in Sushiya. Five years ago we chose the most neglected area of Ibiza to open our restaurant but our fish quality has always been five stars. It hasnt been easy but its been definetely worth it. We will miss our little and beautiful square Sa Drassaneta very much ”.

“Thanks to everybody who made Sushiya Aoyama possible”.

See you soon!

:( ... hope for the best for both of them and sad I never made it back this year - can blame the horrendous parking situation in Ibiza Town for that :!::!::!:

THE VERY LAST TEMAKI NIGHT AT SUSHIYA AOYAMA
SATURDAY 14TH OCTOBER

This is the end… The end of six wonderful seasons in Plaza de sa Drassaneta. Thats why we are saying goodbye on Saturday 14th October with one of our classics temaki nights.

The area is also celebrating the Ibiza Light Festival, with audiovisual instalations all over La Marina and the Port - the visit is worth it!

With loads of love, thanks so much for all the happy moments. Arigato!
