Supermarket bubbly prices

Does anyone have any idea how much a bottle of Champagne is in the supermarkets, SPAR etc.? Is it even available?

I know all the clubs have tons of it, but I'm too cheap/poor to afford that :-p Just want a couple of bottles to drink at the beach at sunset...

I don't mean Italian imitation stuff that's loaded with sugar, but bona fide Champagne. Something like MUMM or Moet & Chandon, those are relatively cheap, but good quality.

If it's too expensive I might just pick up a couple of bottles at the duty free...

Why not try Spanish Cava, made by the traditional Champagne method and perfectly drinkable.
You can get it from a couple of euros in some supermarkets or you can pay much more if it makes you feel happier....

Sometimes it's just good fun to be a bit of a snob, at least if you can appreciate the difference between cheap and good champagne/wine/whatever ;)

But I have had Cava on a few occasions and I like it a lot too.

Definitely available, the Pink Laurent Perrier was about 70euro in the offy on the main road running towards Space from Garbi Hotel, they had lots of choice. Not sure whether they were cheap in comparison to other place supermarkets/offy etc though

Re-reading your post, you mention sunset, so guessing San An, sure they'll be somewhere selling it there as well

Thanks for the info

That'S about 15 EUR more than buying it out here, and quite a bit more than duty free, so I guess I'll see about picking some up at the airport.
