Can anyone tell me what apartments / hotels are RIGHT on the sunset strip. As in overlook the water. I heard Cantelina is on top of Cafe Del Mar. What else is right around there. Reviews?

I havent been able to find much info on Mar Vent. Cantelina all I hear is about people getting robbed or ripped of by the staff (losing their bookings) Nobody on here seems to say much

cayalina and mar y vent arer were 18-30 hotels, very young and basic

there is a hotel called blau parc a bit further on by kanya / kasbah which is nice and good quality

as dawn said most apts above sunset strip are privately owned. there is also hotel gran sol near kanya more basic but great value coastline is close too

its not really much benefit to have a hotel on the sunset strip its not like miami!!!! just more noisy/busy at night!!! and there is not much beach now the new walkway is being built there...

still would be nice to be able to see the sunset. Last year i was at florencio and I ended up running to the sunset strip every night anyways.

Try Costa Mar or Sol Bahia. They're just round from Kanya & if you get a room at the front you'll have a great sunet view. I've stayed at Sol Bahia a couple of times & can highly recommend it. Also stay at the Gran Sol - can't see the sun set but it's about a minute from Kanya etc. Great value hotel.

i have stayed at costa mar and sol bahia too and can toally agree with sez. have also stayed at gran sol three or four times i like this part of san antonio as yu can tell!! as its close to sunset cafes but the hotels are less nosiy. they are all better then the florencio and have better pools. gran sol is the largest and closest to the strip... we will be there 29/5 - 7/6!!! £19 per night booked off spotlight!!

i need to be right in the action

tbh, most places in san an i would class as being close to the action.

you can be a 5 min walk (if that) away from sunset strip, where you could hang out as much as you liked and you'd prob get a better deal.

We are staying in the Formentera apartments, which is on one of those maps, from June 30th until July 14th !

Can anyone tell me what to expect ?

Cheers
