Sunset Cafes

I hope someone can help me with this one. Im taking my girlfriend to Ibiza from 19th - 29th July. Im looking to book a meal for us in one of the sunset cafes during sunset but keeping it a suprise for her. Can anyone suggest the best option in regards to price, food, drinks and experience? We usually just sit on the rocks to watch the sunset which is great too but this will be our 4th time visiting san antonio and we still have never sat on the decking so any help will be greatly appreciated :D

Thanks in advance!!

i would set aside around 70 to 100 euro;s depends what you eat and drink.to costs.class of coke is about 7 euro;s.

Would also strongly recommend Kumahara's in San An Bay - brilliant bar that does food as well I believe with superb views of the Bay and the sun set. Check it out. 8)

Savannah did great food when we were there.
Between the three of us, we spent €165 on food and drink. Two jugs of sangria and the food.

Turn up mid afternoon and just book a table, that's what we did.

Not heard of that before. Although it would not suprise me as they would be losing money for no shows.

Last few years have called ahead mid-afternoon to reserve a table. Never been a problem.

Also chanced it a few times and got lucky, but doing it this way means u get crammed in with a poor view.

A group of 12 of us had a meal at Mambos in 2010. Turned up about an hour before sunset with no booking and got a table right by the window where the DJ usually is. There for the sunset, was excellent.

Sunsea Bar next to Kanya is great for food and cocktails and is quieter than Mambo etc. Cost me about 100 Euros for dinner and drinks but it was excellent

Out of all the sunset cafe's in San Antonio I would recommend Kumharas. The ones on the stip are overpriced and overhyped for me. However if you want something more authentic for you and your girlfriend then take a cab to Cap Negret and head for La Torre. If you plan to go for dinner then I would suggest you make a reservation. Its cheaper, better with no hype and the view is better 8) A cab from San Antonio town centre cost us 8€

I have never been to Kumharas but I really like the sound of it in comparison to the sunset strip bars and I think I'll give it a go this year. I know this is a bit different to what you're asking but the Pacha restaurant would make a nice surprise too if you wanted any other ideas and you get to go in for free after so the value for money is excellent. From a girls point of view I think it would be very romantic to be taken there for a surprise. You just feel special being in there :)

thanks for all the feedback guys. i was planning on taking her over to sit on the rocks as usual then surprise her with a table at mambos. but i have a lot to consider now haha!! keep them coming if you can :D

Easily my favourite place for Sunset. Followed closley by Mambo and Kumharas. If you want to impress the OH with a romantic "wow" factor then its La Torre. If you want to be trendy then the other two, Music there is good at sunset played by DJ Pedro 8)

we really enjoyed the food at Mint last week, Id go back. bit more chilled than mambo. there was a guitar duo on and they were really good too. Not sure they would be on in season though. Nice hierbas to finish the meal 8)

Looks like your gilfriend is going to have a surprise every night! Can you imagine how lush that would be? A suprise every night in Ibiza ahhhh :)

I don't think I'm his gf by the way unless mine is using that name as a pretence to dupe me into thinking its not him. I admit I'm starting to sound like I could be. I'm certainly fighting her corner here well

Well we are there for 10 days so i might take her to savannah 1st and then maybe try one of the others suggested later in the holiday. Is there a way to book a table online as im trying to keep it a secret :)

Why not just phone or email them before you go? Shouldn't be too hard to get the contact info
