Been there a couple of times- kids of all ages should be fine :)

Personally i think its a bit overated and not much like the website. when i was there last year, the staff were very rude, poor service at the bar and the surroundings werent as nice as i was expecting. The beach is a drop off point for big boat trips from san antonio so it can kind of get swamped as there isnt too much of a beach.

....your right...even the dolomite they use to "try" to level the carpark area is like boulders, very dodgy

Is it really that bad for cars?? I've only got the boat trip over there before and was going to drive over there in September :?

the main road down to cala conta is absolutely fine. the back road via cala bassa is dusty and bumpy. there's a little bit of off roading required if the proper car park is full.

my considered opinion of the sunset ashram was that it was grubby and the 'shandy' i had was like sweet, sticky nat's p1ss due to the high pop to beer ratio. my excuse for drinking a girl's drink was that i was driving.

So was that shandy a 'proper' shandy or a 'southerners big girls blouse' shandy?;)

neither! you probably didn't know that a shandy in ibiza is beer and bitter lemon and a clara is beer and lemonade. when i was a lad shandy was made from bitter and lemonade as lager was unavailable in pubs until around 1968 ish. (probably about 1958 in trendy london!)

yes I knew that Stephen, I do read your blog you know!!

Shandy in my eyes is always beer and lemonade, none of that lager or bitter lemon for me im afraid, too old for that.

to the original poster,

kids are welcome/tolerated in almost all places (restaurants/bars like mambo, etc) in ibiza till late into in the evening.

naturally there are some places to avoid but generally there are no probs.

There is another restaurant off to the right (I think) as you start and walk towards the tower.
Can't remember the name of it but it's not too difficult to find!
We had an excellent meal there - the view is just as good IMO.
