Sunday drumming at Benirras Beach?

Hi! Does anyone have any information on the drum circles and music that happens at Benirras Beach? I've heard it's on Sunday eves, but actually could happen any time. Any info or advice you have would be appreciated.

thanks!

Happens on Sundays. Sometimes the guardia block the road to prevent it. Sometimes they allow it but stop and search a few people, and sometimes you wont see them at all. But it is a great experience and well worth the effort! In high season sometimes happens in the week too, but Sundays is best!

Probably best to arrive at least an hour before sunset, Don't be tempted to try to park at the end of the road, its a nightmare to get out! Take some snacks and drinks and enjoy!8)

Great! Thanks for the reply.

If we get there a little later in the afternoon and want to hang out, does Benirras have a restaurant nearby or right there at the beach?

Also: what reasons do the Guardia have to stop it?

thanks again, Charleen

Sunday eves when the sun go`s down, there are 3 restaurant's, The one on the right with the Juice bar on the corner is my favorite, nice place to sit and chill till the sun go`s down with good tune`s and good food,
If it is a full moon it is very busy, if you park close to the beach , don`t expect to get out quickly :-)
Have a good one
Tim

sunday is the main day but you'll regularly get people with drums, bongos or didgereedoos playing on other nights of the week.

We went quite a few times last week as its one of the best bays on the island for swimming I discovered.

restaurant wise we liked the one directly behind you on the beach (the one on it's own) the staff there are great and very very friendly and the avacado and prawns are served just how they should be too!

At sunset head for the shack right on the left handside of the beach where again the chap who runs that bar is really friendly.

After many years of going to Ibiza not getting here sooner is a big regret I loved it here!

p.s. using a pedalo to head out to the rock was knackering and further than it looked!
