Well, I went to Ibiza this past summer and I told myself I will go back if I can afford it. I went to the WMC ths year so I figured I would have to wait until next year........ Or so I thought!

Looks like we are planning on hitting the white isle Late july early august, just lookin for some reccomendations on scoring a cheap(er) flight than last year. My flight last year cost me $1100us when I booked it.

I will be flying out of Boston.

Any suggestions?

EEK ! Lots of money !! Someone's going to help .. and I'm sure someone will suggest flying into London and then flying from there to Ibiza via Easy Jet or something ...

You definitely want to look into booking a flight to the UK and then either doing a package holiday from the UK (esp. from a UK based travel agent) or getting at least on an economy flight from the UK to Ibiza.

We're flying from Chicago to Manchester via BMI and then with bmi baby from Manchester to Ibiza. The Manchester to Ibiza flight was only about $175 per person. However, as long as you're locked into flying transatlantic in July or August, it's not going to be cheap -- that, as you well know, is the most expensive time of the year for travel from the US to Europe. You'll struggle to find cheap flights. I don't know what it is like from the east coast, but from Chicago, we couldn't find anything for that time of year under $900 per person.

If you're a student, check into sta travel for student discounts, or also ask about consolidator tickets. But still, for that time of year, it's hard work.

Have fun!

would someone be willing to suggest a travel agent I could contact that they had good luck with in the UK? I thought about that. Doesn't MOS do some package deals?

I have used quite a few travel agents and to be honest they all offer similar offers and prices as they all use the same tour operator. If you stick with the multiples (travelcare, thomas cook, lunn poly etc) you could get a discount and possibly free insurance. Or you could look into booking with the tour operator directly, such as first choice, thomson, airtours (my personal favourite being first choice) my advice is to keep shopping around, you will find most leading operators and travel agents will have online booking systems too, which will save your phone bill! :P

thanks everyone. i am actually getting a late jump on this compared to last year when we had our villa (casa blanca) booked back in Feb. someone suggested hanging tight for flights to and from Boston to London and wait for a webfare.. Once I'm in London I know something like EasyJet can get me there at a relatively low cost.

I was on expedia uk and i found a 7 night package for airfare and hotel in Playa d'en bossa for 300pounds so that's not too bad.

Don't just stick to London as a hub. You might find it cheaper to fly into Manchester and pick up either a package holiday or a budget flight (bmibaby fly from there).

Hey,
I'm coming from Philly. On my last trip we found a really cheap flight to London in June.. just waited it out until a sale came up. I think we got it for $400. Then from London we took GoFly, which is now EasyJet.

I think we'll use the same tactic this year. Cheap flights do come up you just have to be very patient! Its frustrating though b/c you want to have your flight set... :D

i'm just worried that i wont find one and get stuck paying even MORE for it. I am only going if I can find it cheap.. I went this past summer and I just got back from the WMC. I didn' t plan on going, i sorta had an arm twisted (although not tha tmuch lol)
