ALL beautiful old trees @ plaza antoni riquer de vila
were cut yesterday at the request of the "merchants association of port"
and flea market vendors due to "... to a health measure when filled with birds
whose droppings were causing problems in the area ..." :spank: :evil:

there were really nice birds (no idea about their name) living in these trees,
not ****ing pigeons or stuff like that.

i hope everybody in favor for this crime will die in summer due to sunstroke,
overheating or whatever because there is NO shadow left there now.
**** them all.

They are happy to cut these trees down yet insist buildings that have existed for decades be demolished on some daft pretence of preservation of nature.
 
real reason behind this: to have space to put more tables in the square during the night market so the ayuntamiento can make more money ! !

There is far more space for the vendors, on the other side of the road. Next to talamanca barco station.
I hope they don't cut the nice old tree, around El faro.

This is very sad, particularly as these trees would have been able to soak up all the CO2 that my hire car will be pumping out when I am using up my full tank of fuel that I dont need but have to pay for.

A 35 year old man has been arrested by the Guardia Civil in Ibiza by digging a road
without authorization in the Natural Park of Ses Salines, to widen and allanarlo to supposedly
create a car park for profit.

The detainee, whose name comes from the initials GK, has been charged
with an alleged offense against natural resources and environment ...

Tuesday morning Service Nature Protection (SEPRONA) Civil Guard found that the accused
had done work with a backhoe and had deposited the waste arising outside the mountainside.
