Can someone explain? 8O

u never looked through a mail order catalogue?

the lacoste section would usually be followed up with a page full of very naff obvious copied style of clothes in shades not even yr gran would wear and be branded "le shark" in a bit to subliminally induce u to thinking it was on par with lacoste at a fraction of the price?

I'm pleased to say I hardly know what LaCoste is...and even more proud to say I only discovered the 'Von Dutch' brand at the beginning of this year...

...Urgh - how much do I hate VD stuff? :?

I remember some people on here haveing a conversation about how they like VD stuff a few years ago.

Oh Stuie!

I'm telling you - no logos are the way forward unless said clothing item falls into the category of piss take, overpriced designer trash. 8)

My wife had a Von Dutch cap a few years back.

She wore it twice.

It was £50.

It ain't cheap being a chav.

(even though she bought it long before chavubuculosis contaminated it)

My bro had a VD cap approx a year ago-only wore it for about a month. Then he realised it wasn't "really for him", when he saw other "models" sporting VD gear.
Much a like for like with the "Wheels & Dollbaby" gear.

The point is though - it always was chav tastic and didn't need contaminating!

It all depends on the use of the logo - regardless of its brand association.

ie - D&G t-shirts with big logos = chav.

We have a guy in our office that wears Armani and insists he's not a chav - but he wears big cheap silver chains with it...

that is true.

i didn't have a big logo on Von Dutch. Will admit to probably being put in Robders chav bracket with D&G and Ted Baker, when I was (much) younger

8O I love the way I'm being seen as a worthy fashion policeman all of a sudden!

You're talking to a guy that lived in thai troosers and smelly Jesus sandals for an entire year!

(but would like to point out that I was travelling at the time)
