stay : San antonio or Playa d'en bossa ?

Hello,

we will be in Ibiza in august for a week. We are 28 and from Canada. I'd like to know the advantages and cons for those 2 regions : San Antonio or Playa d'en Bossa.
what about those 2 spots ? I heard a bit about San Antonio : great sunsets and party ambiance... what else ? and what about playa d'en bossa ?

playa d'en bossa.. only went to San Antonio once but I liked the atmosphere much better in playa d'en bossa, you've got bora bora, space and a bit of an older crowd than in san antonio
 
Exactly... if you'll spend time at Bora Bora, Space, or even the Ibiza town clubs (Pacha, El Divino) then PdB is the spot.

San An is more of a party town, with you budget club options in the West End of town and bars with people getting too drunk to stand. It's a different way to experience Ibiza, I suppose, but not for those whose main concern is the music/DJs of the big clubs.

I stayed in San An harbor my first year and it just meant longer treks to the clubs I wanted to visit. The sunsets are nice, though.

where do you guys stay there ? Any hotel/appartment recommandation ?

A lot of people like the Jet apartment complexes... they've got 3 with different levels of comfort/service. We're staying at Garbi this year for the first time... it's also beachfront but somewhat cheaper than the equivalent Jet option. Last year we stayed at Atzaro but I wasn't too impressed.
 
playa den bossa is pretty crap. almost everything shuts at 12/1am so if you arent going to space there is nothing. coco's is shit as well.

i would stay in figuertas or talamanca to be close to ibiza town.
 
Ya, but at 1am you're usually already on your way to the club or hanging out at bars in Ibiza town harbor.

It's a matter of whether or not you want to drive to the beach and walk to the club (like Talamanca, where Pacha and El Divino are close) or walk to the beach and drive to the club. By "the beach", I basically mean Bora Bora :D

I prefer the latter (and for Space, you don't even have to drive!)
 
HI,

playa d'en bossa is the best choice! The beach is very nice there and you have space and bora bora there.
Eivissa is easy to reached by taxi (6 EUR) or bus (1 EUR). You can drive by taxi to every disco (Pacha, Privilege, El Divino, Amnesia) in about 10 min and its not expensive!! And you can drive by taxi to San An to watch the sunset there (only 15 EUR with taxi).

Stay in the fiesta club playa d'en bossa - it is the best in playa d'en bossa!!
 
I'd also second Figueretas as it's walking distance to Ibiza Town, where you can also get the buses that depart to the clubs and San Antonio. Yet, it's also just by Playa d'en Bossa so you're near to Space. Or Talamanca which is the other side of Ibiza Town to Figueretas and is meant to have a gorgeous beach.

San Antonio is the cheapest resort, but I just find it a bit too busy and brash for me. The sunsets are pretty, but it's just too crowded by the Sunset Strip and there are a lot of drunken Brits around the West End which isn't really my cup of tea. Of course, if you enjoy getting very drunk for not a lot of money and trying to pull, then this could be your idea of heaven!
