St Tropez

I was there in May.

Stunning place!!!

Very much like a small Ibiza town, but much classier - but not in a cheesy way.

You must go, you'll love it!

In fact the whole French Riviera is amazing.

We only made it there one evening due to some protest on the A8. Had a good wander around. Went in a couple of bars, did some window shopping and found a great restaurant in a very romantic setting (not that we're the romantic types  )

Loads of nice restaurants etc - quity pricey as you'd expect but i suppose you get what you pay for - as they say.

Apparently Port Gramode(sp?) is very nice too, which is only down the road.

We spent a lot of time in Cannes, Monaco and Antibes which aren't too far away and well worth the visit. We also found some spectacular villages off the beaten track.

I think the south of France is maybe what distracted us from Ibiza this year.

Shouldn't really be saying that on here :?

booze cruise, copious amounts of vodka and fresh orange (especially the latter if you can kinda guess whats coming).

Ran into this enormous plush hotel in the middle of the town square, screaming at the receptionist (very stern posh looking chap) JE CHERCHE LE TOILETS, JE CHERCHE LE TOILETS!!! 20 minutes later, emerged in a hurry and explained very quickly to my folks that we'd best be leaving.

Riviera, must see places in my opinion...

Villefranche Sur Mer
Eze Village
Monaco
Cannes
Antibes

What I love about that area is the ability to jump on a train and in a matter of minutes your another step round the coast in another great town.

you can also get the train to Ventemiglia (sp?) in Italy, which has a weekly market.

Aye Juan Les Pins is pretty cool, thats around the corner from Antibes aight?

Nice beaches there. I saw some Brazil "internationalists" play football volleyball on the beach there, but I didn't recognise any of them. T'was a competition in 1996.
