Spurs v Arsenal Last Night

Great game to watch. Anyone know if the Arsenal keeper appeared to call for Toure to duck under the cross for the first? They turned music on straight after and at half time in the pub we were in so we didn't hear it discussed.

Great hat trick from the boy!!

spose you could say that spurs got a baptistaism of fire??

very dissapointing performance.

after the glories of the past season and a half, i have the horrible feeling that spurs have stalled in our progress.

we keep buying players left right and centre but im not completetly sure that they are ever any better than the ones we already have (berbatov excepted)

Classic Spurs performance. All early hopes and crashing eventual cruel defeat.

Well done boys. Nothing if not entirely shatteringly predictable.

best never to get to the later stages of a competition then you're not disappointed....I have found

even at 2-0 up we all knew we were gonna sit back and defend that lead.

i thought we would have been better at least going all out for the 3rd goal to really kill them off, than surrender tamely as we did, cos a 2 goal advantage going to their place isnt enough.

all id say is league cup semi 2001... 1-1(i think) against chelsea in the 1st leg... 5-1 in the return leg.

just a shame we didnt play the away leg 1st!

Buckley - Usually the setup for our defence says that if the ball is in the 6 yard box, then its the keepers. Thats why Kolo ducked.

Its an agreed rule, and the keeper doesnt shout for it, as its been like that for years now.

Almunia is just ****e, and got mixed up.

Didnt matter though, Spurs bottled it as usual and couldnt beat a bunch of 17 year olds!

Never heard that before. When I play football if you can deal with something and the keeper doesn't call you deal with it.

Anyone else heard this 'rule'? (Not doubting you Toms, just wondering if I'm alone here....)

I was pretty disappointed.....standard Spurs....we have no Mettle

Been so disappointed with Zokora. Just does nothing. And Assou Ekotto is so average.

We miss Ledley so much and I never thought I would say it but we are missing JJ a lot as well.

But overall I really think its either a mental thing i.e. the players we have as good as they are are just not winners or its a conditioning thing because the players visibly tired or dare I say it Martin Jol is not the tactition I thought him to be.....I lay some of the blame at his feet last night as faine Berbatov had to go off but why play Keane in midfield and defoe on his own when keane is so slow. And the way the Hud and Zokora dropped off in the second half was rubbish!

i though Zokora did a lot of chasing in the game and played ok. we do need a new leftback, a proper left winger, and he should have put Mido on when berby went off cos everytime the ball got hoofed upfield, it kept coming back.... :spank:

hopefully king will be back for the 2nd leg. Dawson looked fooked, the boy has played near enough every game for us and needs a rest. cos Gardner is not prem class.

If the keeper doesn't call, it's defence responsability

Hey mate,

No i dont mean its a 'Rule' in general! Its just thats what gets played at the arsenal mate, ive noticed it with Jens Lehmann over the past few seasons.
And almunia is a clown, so ****ed it up!
