I'm lucky in that my time in South America has given me a crap but basic use of the spanish language. I am allways looking to brush up on my Spanish so I was wondering if there is anywhere, restraunt or bar-wise that does not cater for the english speakers and so I can try and get back into the lingo again.
I'm stayin in San An so not the best choice in the first place !.
I quite like those little hole in the wall places that will do a "menu del dia" they allways seem to be a good bet for a bit of "manuell faulty towers" type action.

villa manchega is for you. (cala gracio roundabout) it's the real madrid penya in san an. or you could try the cafe guay down the road into san an from villa manchega - sweet sticky breakfasts r us.

don't try quoting manuel though, in the spanish version of fawlty towers he's italian.

menu del dia

If you could get to Jesus thers areal spanish type place there im sorry icant remember the name of the place but its on the left if you come from Ibiza town heading for Calla Llonga on the bend where the traffic lights are that every body ignores its full of workmen at lunch time all having the menu del dia and hardly any English spoken

I am to take it that if you don't speak Spanish it's not for you? Just trying to save money as we'll be on a super tight budget of £500 each for 2 weeks.

i only know one flippers..... the one in cala llonga!!

the one you went last summer, remember?

I thought does McCrackin doesn't mean flippers in Cala Llonga, is was the most British establishment in the resort! The food was very nice though, good to know it is still open :)

San Rafael; on the same side of the street as El Ayoun.
It's at the end/corner of the street; they serve great meat.
We tried it when el clodenis was closed.
