Does anyone know if the airport strikes planned are for all spanish airports.I noticed there is a strike planned for July when I fly out

good i miss those days.mine you i went out last oct on planned strike.airport was just like normal.thomas cook frighted people into buying water snacks etc on plane.and saying shops were shut.i knew nothing was happening by looking on net before i flew.only thing was staff were in own clothes and we had paper plates for dinner and limited food on offer.in hotel.

What's the likelihood of these going ahead? Meant to fly out on 14th may coming back on 19th.......

actually they announced to strike around eastern 2011, it's the best time for them to strike because many people travel to Ibiza in this time. I heard nothing for other planned strikes during the summer season.

nonsense...

- the taxi drivers strike is in the canary islands
- and the bars strike for not letting them sell ciggies? seriously..... i'm sure if two or three bars close for such a silly reason it won't affect your holidays at all

Cheers I am more worried about the airport strikes.I don't want to lose any precious days in Ibiza.noticed today that ryanair have changed my flight times.I fly out an hour or so later and back 6 hours early wonder if it has anything to do with the strikes

At the moment I am due to fly the day after one of the strike days, but of course the knock on delays will make a difference to timetables.

Hope for everyones sake (including the airport workers) that the situation will be resolved soon.

Man, I got caught up in that back in July 2006. Luckily it was on my way back from Ibiza. But being stuck in Barcelona for 3 days really wasn't all that bad...:D

:D great news, hopefully the workers got what they wanted and all concerned are happy..................i certainly am.
