Space Closing Fiesta

Yes soo true! his first mix was well out of time and his tune selection was average at best. apart from that though had a great night. Steve Lawler then Carl craig highlights for me.
 
just went in at 6.30am ish for Carly. one of the best performances i have seen in ages. blooming great. guy is a legend. could dance too. that is how is shoud be !
 
what a night!! great lineup and always enough room for dancing while still being very busy.

what i hate about closings though:
what pain in the ass it is arriving at space at 19.30, looking at the set times and finding out that your favourite dj starts at 7h! was sooo looking forward to seeing cox again after years. but partying for 12 hours and THEN dancing to your favourite dj is just impossible, at least when clubbing on a strict non drug policy as i do. gave in at 4.30.

buuren had two sets - why not put up cox twice too? let him close the flightpark and then again the terraza at noon. was very disappointed :cry:
 
Armin smashed it outside.....had a great time at Space Closing. Wish Cox had an early set too, oh well

I agree about the set times .. with such a marathon of parties and the need to be capable of functioning at the end of it all, the only reason I went to Space closing at all was because I knew what time Cox would be playing. As Lawler was also headlining Sankeys closing, didn't feel torn between them either.

However, had carried on through from Blue Marlin closing night before (which was exceptionally good) and some considerable drinking cumulatively.. had been up for over 48hours (no drugs either) by the time Carl's finales were underway. My old bones were really feeling it hard by then but it's a testament to him that we all danced to the end !! Pulled several muscles and think I twisted a knee, and someone I was with bust their ankle ... but it was all worth it :D8)

Agree completely with Sophie_VIP's comments re the Sunset Terrace too - fag breaks during Cox's marathon never felt so good especially for oldies like myself ! Both the music and vibe in there were really fun ... when the sunlight streamed in it was lovely. The group of girls who started doing the macarena in front of the DJ booth, however, get the prize for biggest loss of judgement of what I saw of the closings :lol:
 
Been there, done that!
The best Space closing ever (for me atleast), and i've been to 6 Space closings so far... awesome! :p
