OK then - nothing ventured nothing gained - downloading to take off somewhere I can listen to it properly (soon be retreating to workshop for a couple of hours to fit a new bottom bracket, front derailleur and gear cable on my bike ... glamour indeed ! ;))

Well I listened to it. Twice through .. and enjoyed loads of it. Stand out tracks for me 1st and last ... along with the Massive Attack remix. Would not be unhappy with most of it as a nice beachside afternoon into late afternoon set (seeing as I don't tend to hang around pools ;)).

Being completely honest (for a change ) the track which gave me a "time for a sharp exit" moment in the middle was the Ben Delay remix of Senor Sinclar. Especially coming straight after the Gav Fraser remix. Really not my thing at all - and was never a fan of Todd Terry either. Just my own "Hard Times"-averse take on some of the track selection (you were either in that camp or you weren't ... and I really wasn't !). Didn't rate the Mark Knight remix either - was really wishing I could somehow eliminate the vocal and just leave the underlying instrumental . But considering it's a 'poolside set' and everyone's a bit more open-minded in the daytime sunshine, a great effort.

Actually the remix of Shadow Child (haven't heard it before) completely retrieved the last part of the set for me. Use of even one more element of the vocal in that remix would have wrecked it - and track went right to the wire with how much was used imho - but ... got away with it. Wish the 1st Padley remix had edited more of the vocal too - could have been even better. But both hit the spot for the context and time at which I'd hope to hear the set.

You should do more of this "not banging" nonsense ;)...

Thanks for the feedback! When i listened back the one track that really didn't fit was the Sinclar one but i genuinely like the original so put it in. The last track is one of my new favourites as well as the Massive Attack remix... i'm probably guilty of playing tracks i really like rather than ones that "fit" but i just do it for me and 5 friends to listen to rather than a couple of hundred punters in a bar/club so it's less important to nail every track choice

Thanks for taking the time to let me know what you thought i appreciate it
