hi

a group of friends have rented a villa just outside san rafael for a week in september. we usually stay in hotels but we fancied somethng a bit quieter but the chance for our own pool parties swayed things a bit too! the villa is called ca na beneta; has anyone stayed there or know anything about it?
we have rented a couple of cars but we will probably be needing taxi's a couple of times when we head out to the clubs. our problem is that non of us are really too hot at speaking spanish! we could learn how to ask for a taxi but if they ask us anything back then they will just get the usual speaking english, slowly and loudly! do the taxi firms generally understand ignorant, one language brits asking for taxis?!

thanks in advance for your help

If you contact the villa company you have used - find out if they have left a file of handy tips/telephone numbers etc - they usually do. You wont have a problem asking for a taxi , you will find majority if Spanish people have a firm grasp of the English language, and if you mention the villa name - they may well have picked up from there before.
