absoloutly brilliant holiday just gutted i was coming home the day of the radio one show at space. caught the warm up at cafe mambo though which was great. heres some pics. not used to putting pics up so hope it works.

thats why lots of people don't go in july and august. its just too hot and too crowded!
 
we were on the outskirts of the bedlam there, u could get served in the bar to the left of mambo within 2 mins, and walk around without getting knocked about etc, but try to get in front of mambo and you were in trouble. We done creams 10th birthday and that was horrible, couldnt even get in to see tiesto in the main room without being body to body with people, so stayed with mylo in the terrace (no bad thing) then pushed our way into see PVD he was awesome and worth the bumps we were getting every 2 seconds as people were dancing trying to get past etc.

All the other nights were ok, judgement sunday was great not too packed, garlands was poor to be honest and wished i would of gone to see morillo in pacha but was outnumbered 7-1 by my mates to go to eden, and we spent a couple of nights before moving onto the clubs in play2 and plastic and they were ok too.space was busy on wls, but we left at eleven after spending all day there to move onto judgement sunday. So dont know what it was like at night there.
 
I hate going to Mambos for Radio 1 things but always get dragged along, way too busy.

I was gutted when Tong introduced the "legendary" Jamie Cullum (he's twenty effing three for Gods sake!) i actually thought they were going to have someone truly interesting - given the build up that Tong gave him (name dropping Clapton etc).

I heard an interview of him on Radio one where apparently he turned up at Space Sunday still wearing the same clothes from friday and he spoke about Ferral Williams and i was half expecting him to turn around and go ' I really love him man' :lol:.

He did sound as if he'd been chewing his mouth all afternoon :lol:
 
When we went in '03 it wasnt that crowded. That is insane. I guess there were no performances at Mambo that year, although, it still wasnt as crowded down at Punta es Moli.
 
I normally go to the island in begiining of july then in sept. I cant see the appeal of the peak of season at all.
