Hi, I've been to Ibiza on four separate occasions the latest being August just gone for two weeks. I absolutely adore everything about the island from its clubs/bars to beaches and sights. However, next year it looks like ill be travelling on my own and although I'm kind of fine with that I'm still a Tad apprehensive. During the days ill be fine as there's lots to do and I know the island pretty well. It's just the nights, I'm going to look a bit of a tool going around the bars all by myself! Has anybody else on here travelled alone to Ibiza for a two week jaunt and if so how did you get on? All feedback much appreciated;-)
 
Been there alone a number of times, though for a week max. Always had a good time and with no ties you do as you please. :twisted: If you're not happy dancing like a spanner on your own/can't talk to strangers while out, arrange some meet ups with people via this forum once you know your dates.
 
Hi, thanks for taking the time to reply. I'm quite looking forward to it as i stated and yes I'm cool with meeting and speaking to new people but ill probably feel like I'm intruding by say 'Tagging along' on a couple of nights. It's probably all in my head, I'm looking to go around mid August again so hopefully other solo travellers will see see this thread and maybe meet up for a few beers and take it from there. Once again, thanks for the reply.
 
Blimey!! How often do you go a year? Depending on my 'Holiday rota' in work i can pretty much go either late June to late August so I'll keep you posted on what time I'm planning on going! You never know we may even meet up for a swift half or two sometime next year;-) there's no way I'm not going just because ill be travelling solo. I'm just going out there to chill and have a decent time after a long year in depressing blighty! Lol.
 
I don't go every year and the most I've been in a year is once, but that's not to say I wouldn't go twice a year if it fitted with money and other plans. 8) A mate does want to come next year, though I don't expect he'll stay as long as me if he does come. I am trying to fit in a trip to the dam next year too - not been there for a few years...

I've never been to Amsterdam but I know a few who have and they've had a top time. I went to Prague a few years ago and that was great, I was paying less than 30 pence for a pint of Staropramen;-)
 
Not done two weeks, but I have been on solo trips several times for 10 days. It tends to drag towards the end, and get a little lonely if you don't have plans for the evenings. Personally, if I were you I'd do two trips of 7 days each.
 
Nice one, Hywel, I've never been one for a seven day stint as i feel it's a little too short. Ill be booking for 2 weeks which gives me ample time to plan trips, nights, etc etc..Ill put my dates up nearer to the time and see who else on this forum is planning on going out there! Never been away on my Todd before but in a weird kind of way I'm quite looking forward to it;-)
 
The funny thing is, I've been solo travelling to Ibiza about 6 times, and now I can honestly say I can't imagine travelling with someone. It's quite empowering knowing your fate lies solely in your own hands, and you can do and go whenever and wherever you want. Plenty of people post their dates on here nearer the summer months, so yeah keep checking, you won't be alone for long.
 
offer to buy a round of drinks for the people in your row of seats and the rows in front and behind on the plane and you'll be set for following 2 weeks....

like other people have said, closer to the time you should put a post on here with the dates to see if anyone else is about at the same time..


finally, just go with the flow... 8)

I totally agree with you!
I have been in Ibiza four times and every single time travelling solo. It's quite relaxing actually. As you said, you can decide every single move by yourself. I think that people in Ibiza is very open-minded and if you want to chat with someone, it is quite natural move and usually you get nice response. Been there done that.
At the clubs I just love to dance, so chatting is not important matter. The body language is enough for me :)
 
I'll be there solo as well from beginning July to mid September! Third time in Ibiza, but first time on my own, so I'd love to meet up too especially for going out at night!
