Hello, we are staying the Sol bay appartments in September in san Antonio bay.. anyone know what they are like? they look pretty poor! haha

also we have a tag along can you fit 5 in there rooms??

typical 18-30 type place really, above some shops and the Queen Vic pub, nice pool out the back, tends to get full of young un's, dont expect any sleep during the night especially if your on the front as the noise from the main road and the restaurants and shops below is terrible, last time i was there there was no aircon either, so you either die of heat exhaustion during the night or open the windows and get no sleep.....good luck!!

we were meant to stay at the sol bay but when we got there they moved us to a different hotel round the corner as they were full up. but i think the sol bay does have air con now. also, don;t be put off when u get there because we didn't know where the hotel was when we got dropped off the bus, but then realised it was down the side of the shops. which will be handy for ya.

Stayed at Sol Bay in 2003. Basic clean accommodation, friendly staff, good pool. Not sure you'd get five in a room - could be a bit intimate but there may have been bigger rooms than the one we had. Small balconies and if you're on the road side it's quite noisy. Still good for sitting there and people-watching if you like that sort of thing. May be a bit quieter now traffic-wise as I think the road's one way now? Lots of daytime and evening antics but generally friendly - the guy making his way back to his room via the roof one morning had the courtesy to say hello! Over all it wasn't too bad when we were there. Good value for money - the cheapest break I've ever had over there.

Handy for the shops and only a short walk to Kumharas, which is where I hung out most of the time.
