An email came round at work this morning telling us how they would like to make our department a great place to be and to tell us about different drinks throughout our department etc. They then suggested that we have an evening tournament of mixed netball or hockey

Our company does things like this, we do have an actual Social Committee too. The 2 events they have done so far is sumo wrestling and bungee rope in a dingy hall in Romford and a World Cup event last summer with table football!!!

The second one wasnt too bad as it ended in everyone just getting pi55ed

The Activity style team bonding sessions rarely work IMO as it is a forced thing. We tend to limit ourselves to the pub and football viewing + curry most of the time and that's with a select group anyway.Who want's to spend time with people you've already been with all day? I'm so glad I only have to go into the office once or twice a week8)

Although a few summer's ago we had a meeting over 2 days in Bournemouth, after meeting on day 1 we played rounders or football (according to persuasion) on beach followed by BBQ on the roof of the sealife centre (cool location) and then finished off in the Club called The Opera house.Suffice to say the work output on day 2 was limited at best
