Manchester had possibly the oddest weather I've seen in a long time yesturday. Full on blizzards followed by sun followed by sleet followed by blizzards and so on. Nothing on the ground today but it feels about minus 7 outside. Summer needs to get a move on

When it started snowing here, they cancelled all public transport in Brighton - buses and trains.

No, just brings traffic to a halt... as if the traffic in this city weren't already critical!
But the city does work, true.
Back home in DC, 2 inches is enough to shut down the entire metropolitan region
