agh! Moral support please, am on a particularly terrible come down today and gave up smoking this morning. This afternoon I've spent the last 3 hours CRAVING FAGS

:evil: hate trying to give up! But hate smoking too!:evil::evil:

How is everyone finding the whole non smoking things in actual pubs, I have not been to one pub yet what with being away all last week so havent noticed any difference yet.

Just fight each craving as it happens rather than look at it like " ahhhh I got to get through the whole day without a smoke"

I still get cravings from time to time and I aint smoked since October last year.

Tell yo what though,if you hit the mints don't cane the sugar free ones8)...You'll smash a hole in your skids and bongo the ozone some more 8O:p:p:p

During our evening out on Sat - even Fag Ash Phil said the bars were so much better with no smoking - as he popped out into the blazing sunshine for a rolly - cant quite imagine him saying that come Nov like....:lol::lol:

I can't decide - whilst a lot of places smell weird I suppose it's nice to not have absolutely filthy shoes on when I get back from a club.

But then again I HATE having to queue to get out of a club to smoke which I've had to do a few times now.

Which is why I want to give up smoking - life is far far easier without it.

Maybe people will start using chewing baccy to avoid the queueing to get outside for a smoke?

In fact, that's not a bad idea for a business venture. Get some gorgeous girls strolling round the nightclubs dishing out free chewing baccy:idea: Having first installed chewing baccy dispensing machines in the clubs / pubs first :)

I think it the ban is great. We all got on it around Brick Land last week and it was amazing to come back not smelling like poo........................................well OK then smoke

remember nick, the physical addiction to fags is gone in just 3 days. after that it is ALL in the mind. be strong.

the smoke free pubs is great. w

working in soho, really dont like having to run the gauntlet of great fugs of smoke outside each pub on my walk to the sandwich shop

it's not difficult to give up smoking (in the big scheme of things). i'd imagine chemotherapy is a fairly hard slog. climbing everest is probably a bit tough. working out guy richie's 'revolver' is definately a bit of a task. but quitting fags isn't.

it's all in the head. the physical addiction isn't that hard to get over if you really want to give up. then after a few days (as russ said) the addiction is gone then it's just a case of not being a big girls blouse and comforting yourself in a re-assuring fag.

just be strong willed. after about a month i was well used to not smoking and by 3 months i didn't even think about wanting one any more.

sorry guys, i am a preachy reformed smoker - the worst kind! :p

[/preach]

To paraphrase Charlton Heston...

You'll have to wrench this cigarette from my cold dead hands

Very curious to see what it's like with the new rules when I visit London next month.

Russ - You'd like Seattle. No smoking within 8 meters of buildings' doors. (I hated it!)

Thats gotta be a mare lining up again outside a club after a shhhmoke....:evil::evil:....but xxxx it let the smelly gonads freeze:p:p:p:p

Its ace. I gave up a while ago & always lapsed when pissed & they were being handed around the table. Now, no such problem.

3 cheers for politicians and single issue pressure groups.

No NO:spank:

yes no yes.

oh i dont know, got to give credit where it is due i suppose.
