Are the clubs setting up little areas to run outside to? (or do they have some kind of exemption or enclosed death chambers... uh.. I mean... smoking rooms?)
Parliament is talking about some sort of limit on indoor smoking here now
Yep, most pubs and clubs are setting up smoking areas outside the buildings. To be legal they have to be 50% open to the elements, so, an enclosed smoking room is a no no.
Ban started Sunday morning 6am. Last night in my gig you could not see the beams from the disco lights anymore, was significantly different. May have to get a smoke machine or hazer in, is that allowed.
Everything here is 100% no smoking.. I guess being a non-smoker its easier to get used to... but even smoker-friends of mine say its not really a big deal... or so they say!
no big deal, its one of the best things that ever happened in Ireland, in fact theres a kind of sub culture after starting, great place to meet people outside having a cigarette
twas great at victoria station tonight. except for having to run the gauntlet of smoke fug to get into the place.
i gave up 6 months ago now (apart from the very occasional biffta) in anticipation of the ban really. didnt want to be the last sad moaner, complaining about my 'civil liberties' being curtailled
Your all years behind us, we were the first country in Europe to introduce the no smoking ban years ago, im an occasional smoker when i drink at weekends, to keep everyone happy they should've had a smoking area and a non smoking area in bars and restaurants with proper ventilation.
