what's up with this possible 3am closing time he mentioned?
 
I am wondering and worrying about that 3am closing bit, surely that's not possible as the club is only just getting going then! I think reading through it he means the smoking area alone? But then that doesn't make sense. Anyone enlighten or stifle this rumor?
 
my guess is that Mar-T means they hope the officials don't close down the club at 3am due to people smoking inside....

Danny Whittle: We've got a huge roof terrace for 700 people and created a VIP garden. We are also gone to be selling some electronic cigars and cigarettes for 5 and 10euro, we don't want people walking all the way around the club to have a cigarette, so these electronic cigs will give them their nicotine hit without all the bad stuff.
 
my brother smokes those electronic cigarettes... i HATE cigarette smoke and even more cigar smoke but the electronic ones are okay... this is a good thing IMO.... i really don't believe someone would skip out on going to a nightclub because they can't smoke a cigarette!
 
i'm sure a few people will get away with smoking a cig here or there... but if most people are not smoking that's all good in my book.... last time i was at Pacha my eyes were watering from all the smoke! (Cadenza night).
 
Smoking in clubs

The ban came into action in early May and is action now, most people are sticking to it and I believe it is being enforced by the clubs and staff. Pacha still has its terrace which is open air so smoking is permitted and DC10 and Space all have outside areas. The clubs have catered for smokers and made areas that allow it.

So in short, smoking is banned but as a smoker i can honestly say it doesn't make a huge difference as the atmosphere and music are much the same in the areas provided.

I saw a bouncer at Cadenza opening party telling people to put cigarettes out and go to the outdoor areas!
 
Once you are in at amnesia, that is it, you cant go out and there is no outside smoking area (yet). Early on, bouncers were enfocing however, difficult for them to police someone in the middle of a 2,000 odd crowd having a discreet sly one. Indeed, I have never seen so many punters holding a cig in their palms, apparently trying to avoid detection. It is actually pretty poor that there is yet no appropriate area (given the entry price) thus forcing desperate punters to break the law.

True, but same could be said for someone doing a pill in the middle of the dancefloor. spotting a smoker in the act should a little easier. Plus I don't get burnt by pills, its the bloody cigarettes that annoy me.

Having said this, stinking clubber's B.O might be even worse than smoke and fags
