Slow music?

I just returned from Ibiza, and tried to find the “Ibiza beat” in my local record shop. Even though I found CDs from the same DJs as the ones that played at my favorite nights at Amnesia and Pacha, the music seem so slow! Is there something wrong with me or are the CDs actually slower?
If so, does anyone have recommendations for records that are a bit quicker (favorite nights Cream and Coocoon at Amnesia, Space and Bora Bora every day)?
 
Quite often DJ's will play songs slightly quicker in clubs to keep the energy up. This is especially true of trance and techno music. The music's quick to begin with so when DJ's speed it up on the decks it becomes even quicker than if you pitched up regular house music to the same degree. does that makes sense?

Try getting a live set on CD or downloading one.
