Single traveller advice

Been to Ibiza few times before, but never alone...I want to go and see Radio1 this year, and drastic times seek drastic measures.

Just wondered if anyone has made the journey alone, and, how exactly do you beat the supplements that you have to pay?

best quote ive had so far is (two weeks) return flight £180 from cardiff and accomodation nearly £900. Also, how much would a taxi ride from the airport be?

If you have any ideas I be grateful.

To where??

August is by far the most expensive month and doing it on your own will make it even more so, I think some people on their own stay in hostels as they're much chepaer - I don't know anything about them but if you do a search on here for hostels you might get some info.
 
i met up with some mates who were over there for 2 weeks (@i could only get 1 week off work) and i stayed at the hotel brisa in san an. they have single rooms. bit of a brash hotel with 18-30 and 2wentys using it. but i booked with 2wentys and got the week for about £300 then promptley told them i didn't want to go on their bar crawl or boat cruise.

but for the money it was perfect.
 
sorry Barbie, yeah meant taxi to san antonio. Thanks for the help. Much prefer to make a DIY holiday for myself rather than the package deal eg escapades, 18-30 etc, but if it comes to the crunch, i suppose i'll have to.
 
to be honest im pretty much undecided, the radio 1 week is on from 6th to the 13th of august so would like to catch most of it...esp Friday 11th - Pete Tong live from Cafe Mambo with guests. I think bob sinclar is around during the week also, and he'd be good to see.

my main problem is i've never considered a week long enough for a holiday, maybe ten days would be better.

August on your own is the most expensive time to go mate.

Im flying by myself this year as well..

Probably going to get a hostel again (they are mega cheap) when Im out there. Thinking about spending more and getting an air con room though as the heat almost killed me last time!!

Yes i did this too a couple of years ago, think i payed £340 for a week at the start of sept in brisa. Cant grumble :)
 
booked my flight anyways..be in ibiza 0300 hours on sat 5th august...returning to Cardiff on 16th..ample time to catch radio 1.

i may have just landed 11 nights at the gran sol for £379...fingers crossed. If not, ibiza sand is quite comfy.
