I was venting in another thread about minimal tracks.Anyone else sick of the same **** over and over. Not to mention some of it is so slow and filled with ticks and bleeps it can drive a man crazy.NOMORE i say!!!!

Dont get me wrong some of the more upbeat stuff is great but what is happening?Same with electro. To much of one thing is not good but it seems thats all thats selling these days. And whats so great about Justice anyways? It makes me sick in my belly all those huge filtered distorted electro sounds one after another. As well theres always acceptions of some producers not all of them.I tend to like the producers who minimize both minimal and electro in there tracks and add lil more drums percussion etc.

To many breakdowns and long breakdowns tend to kill some tracks.I like the more drivin repetetive stuff myself as long as it changes up a bit.It lets you get sucked into the music rather then it get ruined from another long breakdown.

I don't mind a little bit of minimal, but after a while it just does my head in. Tech house has the balance about right for me.

Techhouse is good do you know any up and comers to watch out for?

Richard thanx for link ill check it out.

Well your right in a way i dont want TO MUCH.I like it straight forward in your face with the occasional tricks in there to spicen it up.I love effects but to much is no good.I think alot of glitches over powers a track and there mostly vocals so you are trying to figure it out instead of just getting lost in the music itself.I like alot of the older house tracks from late 90's seeing im 31 now.Cevin fisher,Dj Dan,Dani koenig etc you get the picture. This was before producers started saying "**** a loop" and blah blah.I miss the ole primate records of umek,Ben sims, marco bailey, mauro picotto etc.I think this type of techno style should come back except better!Thats would be nice.Adam Beyer spun a nasty set last yr at meganite opening which made me very pleased.

The Mark Mendes Remix of Sofa King is awesome!

As is Solomun - Deadman.

But short of the main hitters; Booka shade, Radio Slave, and the like I'm not really clued up on the artists. I just check Beatport every once in a while and see what I like.

Loving electronic music just now.

There's a lot of rubbish out there but there's loads of really good stuff.

Used to like some of the Primate releases as well - but have to say they were worse than any minimal producers or labels for churning out the same thing over and over and over...

Hard to think of one release in that style that really stands up as a classic - one loop, 140bpm, african chant / stab / vocal sample laid on top. Yawn.

Some Trance is filled with cymbals and cheesy keyboard melodies , some people love it , i hate it but everyones different. What do u mean by minimal anyway? Is it a whole genre? I find most ppl who bash minimally produced stuff havnt actually listened to very much around it and dont really know whats out there or hear something slightly less banging that they dont like and label it minimal . This debate has been done to death . Each to their own and all that

LOL yes they did release the same thing over and over but that was yrs ago. There were some good ones.(they cant all be good)I want this type of techno sound thats upgraded to something even better is what im saying really! Something lil faster with lil more hype than minimal but maybe use some minimal sounds or ideas to make it a lil more interesting.

Im very well aware of the music and in fact i was hearing this style of beats yrs before the average listener even had a clue.Been buying records from www.decks-records.de for a long time and they were the first in my opinion to have any of that style of beats back in the day.Just go have a look and youll probably find every type of minimal track available.

Ive been working in my studio trying out different things to see what i like and how things sound.Im a bit new on the whole producing thing but im sure ill achieve the style im looking for oneday.Untill then i just remix older tunes and work on original sounds.
Basically lets take for example a Primate label track and lets say a rekorder label track and mix them together. The outcome would be very nice drivin style techno with a minimal flavor added to it ,add some breakdowns as well but not over doing it just enough to get someone on there feet and whaaalaaahh. Would sound nice i think.

If anyone knows any procucers with this style lemme know id like to listen.
