Signed DJ (UK) looking for shows/residencies

23 year old House DJ signed to Fat Boy Slim's label.

Looking at coming to Ibiza during the rest of the 2012 season or next year.
So Im looking at sorting some shows out there with the possibility of residencies in the future. Ive played all over the UK, at many renowned clubs...Also at festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival, Outlook, Secret Garden Party and more. Ive also played in many other countries such as Thailand, Barbados, France, Croatia, Germany.

Why don't you get in touch with fat boy slim himself surely he can sort you out with some contacts?
As far as I know the DJ's who travel there looking for summer work actually go out there first and get the work that way, it is unlikely you will get hired from here.
 
unfortunately it doesnt work like that...i was just seeing if anyone could hook me up with contacts that may be able to help ie book one off shows and take it from there.

No offence but haven't you got an agent or management if you play at renowned clubs?? If not then you'll probably have to do it the hard way like the rest of us!
 
i do, but again mate...they arent going to be interested in finding me residencies in ibiza...its a completely different matter that unfortunately i can only find myself.
 
You need to get out there and be willing to wash dishes and play for free.

Also, when you say 'signed to Fatboy Slim's label' do you mean you've had some productions out on imprints of his? If so and you've had any good responses from Ibiza based names recently, when you've got yourself a night off from the dishes out there you need to be going to gigs and saying hello, offering to help in anyway you can for free. To get any breaks worth having you need to be established in a scene here or be linked to someone established there.

You'll be one of many though.

Only other way is a raft of blow-up tracks.
 
Done a quick search see you've had a tune on Southern Fried and there's a clip of Annie Mac playing it etc. If you've got any more of that sort of thing you should make more of it, but having a track signed won't in itself get you work out there.

Cheers for the replies fellas...When i say signed i mean signed as an artist to SFR. BUT i release records on various labels aswell, the most recent came out on Monday on Kerri Chandler's Madtech records and has been getting support from DJs at Space DC10 and other clubs in Ibiza.

I understand how it works and that you have to get yourself out there and network, but i just wanted to post some info on here and see if i can make some useful contacts before coming over...and i dont know when i will be coming.
