Should we stay in pdb or san an?

Me n me coussie r trying to book first trip to Ibiza, but really don't know to stay in playa d'en bossa, or san an'... want to go to space, pacha and DC10 but heard its less lively in PDB...and there's bars we want to go to in San An' but its supposed to be a dive-Argh,

please help!

every time i have been we've stayed in San An, this year we're def going to PDB. I would say stay in pdb, but wherever you end up, your holiday will still be a blinda 8) ;)
 
Id rather stay in pdb. If, like me, ur gonna be tight with the dollars. then id recommend san an for accomodation - proper cheap.

There are much better bars (imo) in Ibiza town.
 
PDB has a nice long beach and its pretty nice down the far end by the rocks. I luv the beach.
plus there is Bora Bora and its nice to pop over for a drink and dance and you get to meet some nice cool people. There is a lot more families over that side but plenty of young poeple too.
San An is not bad but avoid staying nr the West End area if you like to sleep, San an Bay is quieter. More of a young Brit crowd in San An as well most are well behaved and those that are not are usually to be found in the west end area usually after too many watered down san miguels.
either way you can travel by bus or taxi its easier to get a bus from san an to ibiza town and back its two buses from pdb to san an and back which can be a pain. figuerettas is not bad as well.
 
I did mistake by staying at PDB last year :evil: Never again :!:

San An is okay. It´s cheap and there is something happening all the time. And there is always a taxi...if you go to Pacha ;)

either way it will be filled with peeps and you´ll BASICALLY (not entirely) get the same thing and the same accomodation. if you´re into eden and es paradis ect, then stay in san an, if you´re more of a space-kinda-type then go for PDB. either way. have a nice one!

I am not into Eden or Es Paradis but Pacha and El Divino. I stay in San An. Stop this 'space-kinda-type' snobbery!

If you want to mix with like minded clubbers, stay in San An, if you want to mix with pretentious twats and German tourists, PDB is for you.
 
San Antonio is generally a younger crowd and is predominantly British.

PDB attracts more older clubbers from a mix of nationalities and some families (altho this is only really the case in July and August, if you go June or September I see very few kids around).

Depends what you want out your holiday and what you are planning to do, personally I tend to stay PDB/Ibiza Town side just cos most of the things I want to do are that side of island (Space, DC10, Bora Bora, Pacha etc).

If you think you will be spending more time at the likes of sunset strip, Eden, Es Paradis etc, then stay in San An.

I've stayed in San Antonio Bay a few times and altho the hotels were nice, we don't do very much in San An so were spending all our time and money in taxis.
 
Well well well! Cheers for all your advice kids- we just got back!! It was absolutely mental, think i left my brain in DC10- which i reckon is the best club in the world! Stayed in San An in the end- but defo won't be staying there next year! Space was mint....wana go back!

What is wrong with Germans?
 
no id more say lager louts in west end, but san an still has nice things to offer. I´ve seen just as many kids at Bora Bora and PDB as in San An, its hard to generalise really
 
I used to swear by San An, the main reason was I loved the Sunset strip. But having stayed there a few times I decided to try PDB and I'm totally converted.
The main reason is Bora Bora, but also the clubs I like are at this end of the island. Also like its been said, there's more older clubbers in PDB (tragically, I'm one of them) and everyone seems friendier. I doubt I'll stay in San An again.
 
Look if you can't decide where to stay, then the answer is simple... set up camp & stay in the middle betweent the two... I mean Amensia & Priviledge on your doorstep & all!! :lol:
 
I'd say if you want the bars of San An then stay there, You can just travel out to the clubs when you want to go..Bus/Taxis are very reasonable.
