im just wondering if its advised to buy tickets online before i jet off or will it be fine buying on the door or at the ticket stalls in ibiza?

in goin to parties like, circoloco, cocoon, carl cox, enter.kehakuma, zoo project, music on, we love.

Don't ever buy your tickets on the door for any club in Ibiza. Unless you're an expert blagger it will cost you an absolute fortune. If you can decide before-hand which nights you're definitely going to then buy the tickets for those nights here through Spotlight. That way you can decide which other nights you fancy when you get there and buy them in bars or record shops on the day. Have fun whatever you decide :)

For Carl cox, we love and music on there will probably be deals to get you in earlier so look out for fliers and wristbands that pr hand out.

For the rest of them the prices won't change much so you'd be as well getting them before you go. Cocoon don't do online tickets so you have to get them over there.

If you can pre buy tickets for Amnesia ( Cream etc) i would do it.

Got slammed last year at Cream Closing for tickets about double what they were worth on Spotlight.

cheers folks!! will these nights ive listed about, sell out?

They wont sell out (primarily because they just cram in as many people as possible regardless of legal limits) but they will be extremely busy in August and worst case scenario is you might struggle to get tickets beforehand and end up having to queue for tickets on entry (only ever happened to me for Pacha events)

FMIF at pacha is a sellout during high season, probably also tiesto will.
cocoon at amnesia is sometimes a sellout in august (yes it is)
dc10 was sold out just today - and that was actually quite nice, because you could actually still move and dance in there!

another plus of buying tickets online (apart of the fact you won't get them cheaper on the island) is that 95% of them can be cancelled and fully refunded up until 24hrs before the event.

Good point that you can just cancel them if you have to . Why worry? No chance to get them much cheaper on the island.

I have never been during real peak season but none of the closings seem to sell out. Neilly how did you buy tickets for Cocoon?

I have never bought online but thinking about it this year. Only concrete night so far is zoo project opening and after that we are already arguing over what nights to go as there is so much on  I think my days of 3 big nights on it in a row are over though so hopefully I will get my way and then buy online as no where sells tickets where I am staying so it will mean a mission to go and get some.

Any time we've been there in the last few years, we picked out big nights and booked and paid for them a good few weeks before going - that way you dont have to worry about shelling out when you get over there.
I have always noticed though that there are tickets available for purchase at a lot of venues and the price isnt greatly different. So for any of the big events you are definately going to go to, good idea to book them and have them paid for before you get out there. Then when you're there you have options the other nights and can just spontaneously go wherever you want.

i've never bought tickets online and i've always got in to where i wanted, even in august. wouldn't sweat about it too much. you might change your mind when you get out there and go with the flow ending up somewhere else.

I always buy tickets over there. Its all very well making plans, but we all know that thing don't always go according to plan. Get your tickets over there means you can just go with the flow, meaning that you aren't constrained to a certain night when the people you met the night before and are your new best friends (well at least for a few hours yet ;)) are going to somewhere else.

Just wing it, for the saving you get online I am not convinced its really worth it. Unless there is a night that you are 100% you will not miss or there is someone at Ibiza Rocks you really want to see. But don't buy a whole week / 2 weeks worth of tickets.
