Music and lifestyle brand Hed Kandi is to make its UK retail debut at Bluewater in August in conjunction with a transactional website.

The 1,447 sq ft store, in Bluewater's lower Thames Walk, is part of managing director and former La Senza boss Rose Foster's new strategy.

Foster said: “The brand is already established, so for the Hed Kandi girl who likes to party this completes the picture.”

The retail plan was first revealed by Property Week on 19 February 2010. The store, which could be first of several, was opened after a successful fashion collaboration with the Arcadia Group's womenswear retailer Miss Selfridge last year. The collection will include party wear and accessories with prices ranging between £40 to £175.

Guy Thomas, head of leasing at Lend Lease, said: “Hed Kandi's choice of Bluewater for their first store reflects the quality and profile of the Bluewater brand. Their flagship will showcase one of the music industry's most dynamic and innovative brands.”
