I'm wondering if there is a way to ship liquids safely from IBZ Airport. Specifically, it would be great to be able to bring home some olive oil and hierbas, but I don't want to cram it into a suitcase and bringing it as a carry-on is out because of the liquid restriction. I'm sure it's possible in Madrid (destination is the US) but I can't remember if there is a shipping counter on the island. Any thoughts or experience appreciated, thanks!

maybe, maybe not, but if,as he says, there's a shipping area at madrid, it won't matter.

Bought 2 bottles of Hierbas in taxfree shop (as handluggage) the last time I was there. If u've got a hard suitcase, do it in a lot of bubble-paper and then between your clothes, then it's not really a problem, my mate did it just like that last time. But it all still depends on how the company treat/throw your suitcase... Isn't there a prohibition on the amount also tax-free to Amerika? I thought it was 1L or so not?

Cherryman, there is a limit of 1L but I wouldn't mind popping for the duty on the extra amount since it's such a trek from the States. I think I may do your method of wrapping it carefully in my checked luggage. As don simon notes, I'd have to deal with shipping in Madrid due to the second security and also be at the whim of the selection in the airport shop.
