Agreed! I wouldn't even consider paying that for a week. I'd rather risk a week on the beach.

Yes - even Gran Sol near Golden Buddha in Calo d'es Moro is only 310Euros to arr 11th dep 17th July staying in a Single room.
Places like Tarba are 2 minutes walk from the bus station in San An, perfectly OK noise-wise and even cheaper.
You could hire a car with the savings (it's August when the car prices get astronomic), stay out of the centre and have the run of Ibiza every day to really nice beaches .. it's easy as pie to drive to Playa d'en Bossa from San Antoni area and plenty of free parking.
Bossa is a complete rip-off, especially so for single travellers.
But if you really want to fall out of bed onto the beach in Playa d'en Bossa in particular (can't see why you'd want to if you had a choice but hey ho ...) then you do pay for the "privilege".

some prices for certain hotels jumped more then 100% in pdb between 2010 and 2011
(same hotel, same roomcategory, same time, no renovation or anything like that in between)

he can get better prices than 577 Euro in this hotel:
"Single Room (Air-Conditioned) (up to 1 Adult) Bed+Breakfast" ==> 457.60 Euro
"Double/Twin Room for Single Use (up to 1 Adult) Bed+Breakfast " ==> 539.20 Euro
icey you schmuck, the price for the week depends on when the week is in the month. i merely chose one at random as an illustration that single rooms were available.

well i have sent him a pm but looks like he as not looked at it yet.h/b for aweek in pdb.£405.00..nickhnz the pm i sent you was wrong i put june and not july in pricing up.all you need now is a cheap flight.
i now stay in the tres carabelas hotel as link says.late june into july two weeks h/b for £840.00.and i go oct as well for 11 days.but book it diy.nice hotel.worth paying a bit more for.
