Any one been ?

Being intruiged by El Buli, (Ferran Adrias impossible to book gastro-wizardry restaurant near Barcelona) I recently (well about 3 months ago but haven't got round to doing anything about it until now) discovered that a sister restaurant exists in the Hacienda Benazuza Hotel (known as the El Buli Hotel) in Seville.

Now - this restaurant is bookable and has a menu which features many of the wierd and wonderful stuff from the Barcalona establishment.

My questions ae these

(a) know anywhere to nice but reasonably cheap to stay in Seville as the Hacienda Benazuza rooms start at 345 euros a night and I'll already be looking at over 140 euros for my 'fancy Dan' meal ?

(b) What else is there to do in said city having gorged myself on strange artistic cuisine ?

Ah Sevilla the memories :lol: im afraid my time spent in Sevilla is mostly a bit of an alcohol induced haze but from what i do remember it's a beautiful small(ish) City and a visit to the lovely Cathedral should be made, im afraid i cant help you with anything else i was only there for one day (and nite) along with 100,000+ Celts, i wanna go back sometime for a proper visit.:)

i have a feeling that adria also designs food for the nh hotel group in spain (he also designs potato crisps)
you could maybe check them out for a cheaper option.

btw el buli is in roses - an unremarkable resort - which is about as close to barcelona as derbyshire is to london.

Thanks Stephen - your cantankerous attention to detail is appreciated, though I wasnt intending on moving there and settling down.

(It's in bloody Barcelona province though isn't it - about 80 odd miles from Barca)

Anyway - Seville. Any good ?
