Senior trip?

My year is considering Ibiza for a senior trip to celebrate finishing school. There are however two "problems" that I would like to get cleared up once and for all.

  1. Hotels - we are looking for hotels with 4 or more stars, and all inclusive. What hotels should we be looking at? Also, since we will be around 50 people there will be a lot of noise... Preferibly a hotel near beaches, clubs, town etc.
  2. Prices - I have read that prices can be ridiculously high. Any indications on how high prices can get? I am talking about food, drinks at clubs and anything else that may be needed during our one week trip.
Other than this I would appreciate it if you could give me tips/advice on a trip like this one.

Thanks in advance.

If you do what you say you want to do,4* AI etc, you will be wasting your money, losing out,and having a worse time than if you had booked 0* in the back streets of San Antonio..
The only people that AI seems to make sense for is for families with kids who are guzzling fizzy drinks, ice creams and burgers all day, you have to be there all day consuming to make it pay!!
If you are thinking about drinks round the pool all day,you will be wiped out when it is time to go to a club!!
Choose more modest accomodation, get out more, see more of the island, have some experiences...8)

One thing for sure, not many 4 star+ hotels will tolerate any 'noise'...

Thank you for you're response. Could you recommend any hotel which could be leniant with high noise levels, from your own experience?

I think that you need to know which part of the island you want to stay at first.
Then people might suggest places,it's all a bit random otherwise!
Have you looked at Hotels & Apartments on this site? A good start, and there are usually reviews which can give you an idea of the atmosphere and noise levels.
I have not stayed there myself, but one place that is pretty lively is Jet apartments in Playa den Bossa...:)

San An Town in the summer is lenient of high noise levels (within reason!)

If you plan on staying there expect to be woken up by air horns at 6am in August!

A 3* is all you need in Ibiza! I wouldn't stay in a 4* or AI. The food and drink is very reasonable in the supermarkets.

Do you really want to be surrounded by families poolside all day?

I think I have decided on Playa den Bossa, so we could take it from there. I have looked at Hotel Algarb which was suggested through PM, and renting apartments. Pretty surprising how prices in this part of Ibiza are relatively low...

No! Please, no families at the pool haha :p

Is there anything else we should be taking into account when calculating prices? Anything major other than food and hotel that I may have forgotten?

Also, are they strict on ages for clubs/bars? I mean, would it be worth going for someone who is under 18? Do fake-ids work?

Thanks everyone for you're input!
