Scratch Perverts vs. James Zabiela vs. Eddie Halliwell

Which of these DJs do you feel has the most technical ability? I've seen each of them once - Zabiela for about three hours, Halliwell for two and the Pervs for only about 90 minutes. I'd say they're all great but the Perverts just sneak it. They just play such a wide variety of music in a set - they rearranged the bassline (on the fly) of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and scratch-mixed it into Prodigy's "Firestarter". They don't overdo the scratching though, even when they have six decks.

But I'd love to see them all again :P

Never seen any of them except for Zabiela. The kid was born to do what he does. Just imagine what kind of sick stuff he's going to be putting out in a few years. He's already awesome, but just wait until new technology comes out...he will dominate. Technology is the future.

Without any shadow of a doubt, the Scratch Perverts are the most technically gifted, they are DMC level. I prefer the tunes James Zabiela plays though. Eddie Halliwell is over-rated shite.

Zabiela is awesome for his clever use of technology, but DMC guys tend to chortle at the suggestion that what he does is 'scratching' - true turntablists are a completely different breed - someone put DJ Kentaro's winning performance up on the boards a while back, absolutely staggering!

Imagine if Frank Zappa had taken the time to incorporate electronic music and djing and all that is associated with it into his arsenal.

It would have been spectacular.

That would have been me ;)

Kudos ;) :D

Technically Eddie Halliwell is amazing. I agree his type if music might not be to everyones taste, specially on this forum, but he puts on a superb show everytime he plays.

Still disgree about Halliwell. Compared to the technical skills of Zabiela and The Scratch Perverts, he ain't got a prayer.

Ok, i know when im outnumbered

I think Zabiela is class, but the Scratch Perverts just bore me. I guess its more to do with the fact I didnt enjoy their set rather than their technical ability.
